Term 2, Week 4

Room 4 Newsletter:  Term 2, Week 4

Sunday 10th May, 2015

Thank you to everyone for their participation and contribution to the Whole School Mass this morning. The Food Baskets were overflowing, the children sang beautifully, and those doing readings, prayers and other jobs were all organised and ready. There were lots of Mums and Grandmas to receive our bookmarks, and plenty of yummy morning tea for the cuppa afterwards. Thank you all, this was truly ‘community’ in action.

Upcoming dates:
*Hockey Lesson with Mrs Flannery: 2.15 pm Monday.
*Hockey Tournament – This Wednesday afternoon 13th May. Begins with lunch together at Pioneer Park.
*SWIMMING this Thursday – Session 3, 10.10 – 11.15 am.

Sacramental Programme:
This Sunday will be the first liturgy session for those children preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This takes place at the 9 am mass, and this weekend will be led by Mrs Barbara Grubb.

Michael Mangan Visit:
I am very excited about Michael Mangan’s visit to the school this Friday. He will present his songs and a Powerpoint to the whole school between 10.10 and 11.15 am. I am sure that if any parents wished to join us we could squeeze you into the hall. J

World War One commemorations:
We continue to commemorate World War One through our reading programme and art, and do invite you to share in the childrens’ work if you are passing by Room 4.

Have a great week.
